Thunder ES Berry Blend

Here we go again! Thunder ES Berry Blend is one of the flavors available from the Extra Stark line of snus from V2. Now stop. Berry? YES, berry. Unlike any other snus that's out right now and carrying 16mg nic/g this is definitely not for the loose of bowel.

Not the strongest smelling snus available, but don't let that faint scent fool you. It smells like fruit punch (go ahead smell that haiwaiin punch in your fridge). Somewhat sweet, but not overly so, Thunder ES Berry Blend actually has quite a pleasing aroma as far as snus smells go.

Now at one point V2 didn't make the best portions in the world, but they have improved drastically. The portion feels nice under the lip and isn't very abrasive. Now I'm not saying that V2's portion material is the king of kings, but it is pretty damn good compared to the old ways.

A cup of strawberry, a dash of bluberry, and an orgy of various others. That is what you get with Thunder ES Berry Blend. NO CHERRY, according to a few reports by others, but some people will swear it's in there somewhere. Once again we go back to the fruit punch comparison. A fruit punch snus, come on, it can't be real. Oh but it is. Thunder ES Berry Blend is the product of a wild drunken one night stand between fruit punch and tobacco. A wonderful, beautiful offspring indeed.

Would I recommend this snus to anybody? Would a politician lie to you? Of course. This is a unique snus and should be given a chance by any and everybody. The extra nick is also helpful for people trying to kick the cig habit. So what are you waiting for? Head over to The Northerner and throw a few cans in your next order.

Thunder Frosted Long + Portion

V2 has perfected the spearmint realm of snus. Thunder Frosted Long + is a sterk snus (that means strong :D), boasting a hefty 12mg of nic/g. Hits like a champ and can satisfy a craving that a regular 8mg snus just can't. This is a middle of the road snus when an 8mg won't do the job and an ES is just too much.

Strong smell, Strong snus. You will feel a burning tingle the first few times you use it (kind of like that KY Intense with the eucalyptus oils o.O). When you open the can you can tell right away what it is. Spearmint. Yes, spearmint. There's no missing it. The scent will easily fill a small room.

Since this is a long portion it sits higher up in the lip away from the gumline and is easier to conceal. Once you put it in you don't have to worry about it sliding down or showing while you're talking. It's very comfortable and if it weren't for the tingle from the spearmint you could literally forget that it's in.

Same as with the smell. Spearmint. Yes there is a bit of redundancy going on here, but that's the only way to describe this snus. The flavor isn't as strong as the smell, but you won't miss it. Wrigley's spearmint gum (minus most of the sugary sweetness) is the closest thing that comes to mind when trying to compare the flavor of TFL+. Suprisingly spearmint works well with snus and lasts for more than enough time (the one I have in has been going for he past 2 hours).

I know people that swear by TFL+ and it is a staple in their snus diet. If you have tried it you would know why. All around a great snus and definitely a must try. V2 knew what they were doing when they took Thunder Frosted , cut the nic down and threw it in a long portion. Available at Northerner.com, so go get it and judge for yourself the greatness that is V2's Thunder Frosted Long +.

Blå Lös

Blå Lös from F&L is a must try in my book. Bakes easy, holds up well, and can easily be an all day snus. It's only available at Northerner.com so you'd have to head over there to pick it up. Now back to the snus.

I would describe the smell of Blå as sweet with a hint of chocolate. It's a strong smell (if the can is open you can smell it from at least a few feet away), but not a bad one. That doesn't mean use it as an air freshener or sprinkle it around the house to set the mood (I don't think your Significant Other would be able to appreciate the smell as much as you or I).

This is a snus you can put under your lip and forget about. It's not to rough and not to soft. You can move it around with ease and not have to worry about the dreaded mudslide, but you might have to pay attention because Blå tends to slide down quicker than most other snus I've used. A quick push with the tongue can fix that though.

Now on to the best part. The taste. Simply put imagine a lovechild of Ettan and Grovsnus. Yes, I know it may be hard to fathom such a thing, but trust me, it is real. Think, the pure tobacco of Grovsnus with the chocolate undertones of Ettan and you have what is known as Blå. Now some people will say it tastes artificial because of the caramel coloring, but I'm not one of them...mainly because I've never tasted caramel coloring or cared to hone in on it in any products that may have contained it. To each their own, as stated in my introduction everyone's tastes are different, but it's always best to approach every snus with an open mind.

I would say that this could be an all day snus. In all honesty I could never make it my one and only, but a great product nonetheless. Blå is more like my mistress snus (or that really hot babysitter that your wife hired, because let's face it, when the cat's away the mouse will play), something that I will use as a frequent break from my normal line up.

Offroad Liquorice/Lankrits Lös

Coming from one of my favorite companies, V2's Offroad Liquorice Lös is one of many flavors in the Offroad line. As with all of V2's Lös it is extremely easy to bake and holds together forever. At a price that flirts with just around $2-2.5 US, it's a good bargain for any liquorice lovers out there.

Imagine opening a bag of liquorice twizzlers and inhaling deeply, that's pretty close to the aroma you get from OR Liquorice Lös. No beating around the bush, no subtleties, no BS, just straight liquorice.

Once under the lip you can move the prilla around with no problems (although not recommended for new snusers, unless you are fond of looking like you plow soil with your teeth), flip it if it starts sliding, or (if you feel so inclined to do so) you can flick it in the air with your tongue and try catching it in your mouth with no worries of it breaking apart. Now I've had many V2 products and I can, from personal experience, tell you that V2 makes some pretty comfortable Lössnus (Imagine memory foam with nicotine).

Out of all the available Liquorice flavored snus, this one is probably the sweetest. Now when I say sweet I don't mean raped with sugar, only that it packs a lot of flavor and is more "in your face" than most other snus. Once again the closest thing to this flavor would be the Liquorice Twizzlers, only slightly muted with a little salt added.

At the end of the day OR Liquorice Lös is not an all the time snus (unless you love liquorice packed in your mouth), but it is definately good if you want a break from the more subtle flavors that other snus have to offer. I wouldn't recommend this snus to everyone, but if you are a true fan of liquorice then this is definitely a must try. You can pick it up at Northerner.com.
